Unusual Chairs - Antique Italian Aesthetic Movement

I am thinking about these chairs.   I love chairs, have way too many.  But these are different.
Are they too different?

I am not sure that I like the angular look to the chair, it is somehow unsettling to me.  They are so unusual I have to consider them.

What do you think?  Too much?  I think maybe the griffons on the chair don't help me.  A little creepy.   I shall decide tomorrow.

  1. This may sound odd, but if it were only one chair it would seem unsettling. However, two chairs lend a sense of symmetry and beauty.
    I love them!

  2. Oh I think they are super neat! And pretty! I have a thing for antique chairs too, which often gets me into trouble, if you know what I mean.
    Have a great day,

  3. Oh I see what you are talking about, really unusual, but maybe a little too much, that is depending on where you are going to use them. The griffons would kind of put me off too, not sure about that. Can't wait to see what you decide.

Also, You wre totally right about the lamps in my living room. The mercury just didn't work, so I am going to keep looking. I know I will find just the right shape and size, so not really in a hurry and I do want to love them and not have to talk myself into them. Thanks tons for your input. Hugs, Marty

    1. Hi Marty,
Glad you kept the others. I did the same thing, bought some new lamps for my bedroom, and they were too modern, wound up in my daughter's house! You're a real sweetheart. Thanks for making the blogging world so fun, Simone

  4. They seem to settle nicely in that grouping, but they are bizarre on their own!
